Anatomy/Physiology - Gr. 4-6

Introduction to Anatomy/Physiology Majors: (New for 2018)

If you have a budding physician on your hands who’s idea of fun may involve the dissection of a cow’s eye, look no further!

The new anatomy & physiology major for rising 4th-6th graders in our popular science camp program will delve into the how the human body works. Understanding how the major body systems function and interact will be studied through a variety of experiments and recreations. Campers will learn the foundational skills of life sciences through hands-on work with microscopes and dissection. Furthermore, they will demonstrate their new found knowledge by recreating the various systems of the human anatomy in a life-sized, layered “paper doll” of their own body! The anatomy & physiology major will be offered to rising 4th-6th co-ed students at MIT and to rising 4th-5th graders in our science camp for girls at Stanford.

Who is this camp for? Budding physicians and kids fascinated by health and the human in late-elementary or early middle school that want a fun, hands-on first experience with anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology.
