Tuition Assistance and Scholarship Programs

Tuition Assistance and Scholarship Programs: Education Unlimited seeks to make our programs available to students regardless of their financial situation, where possible and as our funds allow. To that end, Education Unlimited sponsors two programs that provide financial assistance to families who demonstrate financial need:

  1. The Education Unlimited Tuition Assistance Program provides partial tuition assistance awards to those who can demonstrate financial need. The largest awards will not exceed 50% of the program's total tuition; East Coast College Tour and CAPC Destination awards typically do not exceed 25% of the program cost. Our goal for the coming year is to have a budget of at least $25,000 for the tuition assistance program, but the budget will be dependent on EU's ability to secure funding. In most recent years EU has been able to designate more than $25,000 in partial aid awards each summer. The Tuition Assistance Program is the program under which most families have historically received aid awards from Education Unlimited.
  2. The Education Unlimited Scholars Program has funding of at least $11,000 to provide full scholarships (which cover all camp tuition costs, but do not cover travel to/from the program or incidental fees, such as airport shuttle or camp t-shirt). The budget for this program will be increased if funds allow. Scholarship applicants will be evaluated for both need and merit. Students who are not selected for a scholarship will automatically be considered for the Tuition Assistance Program. Application to the Scholars Program requires the submission of transcripts, three letters of recommendation and a personal statement, in addition to the items required for our standard tuition assistance application. The East Coast College Tour, CAPC Destination, and Summer Focus are not eligible for this program. Typically, families who receive these awards make no more than $50,000 yearly (sometimes far less). It is unlikely that a family making more than $80,000 yearly would receive a Scholars Program award.

Deadlines: Applications received by May 10, 2008 will be reviewed in May in the order in which they were received, so it is to your benefit to apply early. For applicants that apply by the May 10 deadline, we will announce aid decisions by June 5, 2008. We will continue to review Tuition Assistance applications throughout the summer, however, less funds may be available for Tuition Assistance later in the season. If you do not apply by May 10, 2008 it may be only shortly before the camp session that you receive notification of our award decision.

To Apply: Download an application from our website or request one by email. Please review the details on the application and in our Frequently Asked Question section to learn more. If you have additional questions after reviewing these materials please contact us by phone or email.
